We are working collaboratively with our community pharmacies with the new Pharmacy First service which is part of the NHS long term plan to alleviate pressure on GP appointments, offering patients quicker access to healthcare. Patients can obtain prescription medication for common conditions as well as receiving advice and support directly from community pharmacies, reducing the need for repeated GP visits. The government and NHS are prioritising the expansion of community pharmacists’ roles to improve patient care and access to treatment, more information can be found here: NHS England » Pharmacy First.
