GP BMA

The BMA has balloted GPs and a majority have voted in favour of taking action to reduce the burden placed on GP surgeries by increased patient numbers and an increased workload without a proportionate increase in funding. Seaton and Colyton Medical Practice, while recognising the challenges affecting primary care at present, has taken the decision not to make any restrictions on the level of care that is currently provided. Although waiting times for routine appointments are at times longer than is hoped for due to exceptionally high demand, our services should not be directly affected by the collective action being taken by surgeries elsewhere.
